Exhibition Overview
The Watarru community is located in the APY Lands in South Australia. Sitting at the Northern Edge of the Great Victoria Desert, adjacent to Mt Lindsay, Watarru is one of the most remote Aboriginal Communities in Australia. This exhibition features paintings by eight artists who either reside in the community for most of the year or have strong cultural connections to it. The artists are supported by the Tjungu Palya art centre which is located in Nyapari, a 3 hour drive North.
