Outstation announces its exhibition calendar for 2011

2010 was a hugely successful year for Outstation – art from art centres.  Not only did we host a number of sell out exhibitions we also managed to place works in 3 Australian public institutions, a major private collection in the Netherlands as well numerous large private collections here in Australia.

2011 is shaping up to a be another exciting year for Outstation.  Our first exhibition of the year, Green, was very well received and Artbank is in the process of acquiring two paintings from the show.  Other exhibitions we will feature this year are:

April – Fibre and Feathers (with Elcho Island Arts)

May – History Paintings – all the stories got into our minds and eyes (with Warakurna Artists)

June – Timothy Cook and Conrad Tipungwuti (with Jilamara Arts)

July – paintings from the Watarru Community (with Tjungu Palya)

August – Tjala Arts – a survey exhibition, to coincide with the 28th NATSIAA

September – Ninuku Arts – Men’s exhibition
