Papunya Tjupi

Located in the Honey Ant Hills in the heart of the Central desert, 240 km north-west of Alice Springs, lies the Papunya Tjupi art centre.

Representing many artists who are descendents from the original Papunya movement of the 1970s, Tjupi Arts is a recent organisation formed in 2007 to provide an additional cultural network and socio-economic benefits for communities in this region.

Primary works include acrylic paintings and limited edition prints. Papunya Tjupi artists are represented by commercial galleries within Australia, and their work is represented in national and international collections.
